Weekend escapes

Sometimes you need time out. The chance to leave everyday stresses behind. A short break is a great way to visit new destinations and experience different things without breaking the bank. Just a few days away can make the world of difference.

Imagine getting back to work with stories of sipping a cocktail while the Mediterranean waves lap nearby, or strolling down the Champs-Elysees, stopping for a French pastry along the way. Sure beats spending the weekend cleaning the house!

Camping might not be the obvious choice for a short break holiday. But with easy access to airports and ferry ports, lots to do and plenty of places to explore; it’s time to think again.

A hop, skip and a jump

The key to a stress free short break is convenience. You don’t want to spend ages just getting to your destination. Flying can cut down your travel time and, for a short stay, you can often avoid checking in baggage, saving both time and money. If you’re close to a ferry port, travelling by sea can be quicker than flying. With no lengthy check-in or security procedures to worry about, you can be in mainland Europe before you know it.

No matter which option you choose, with many campsites situated close to airports and ferry ports, you won’t spend lots of time travelling once you get to the other side.
