++ Euro Update ++ 17th July 2015
Great news if you’re heading to Europe this year! The Euro is currently sitting at its highest rate in 8 years, meaning for every £1, you’ll receive €1.43. Making your hard earned pennies stretch that little bit further!
Customers have already found this year that things like eating out are a bit cheaper. A customer who has just returned from Camping Cala Gogo in the Languedoc-Roussillon said, “We ate in the campsite restaurant frequently the food is very good and, courtesy of the very weak Euro, was very reasonable. Entree du jour and plat du jour for €13.”
For those of you that are travelling later in the year, you could always buy your Euros now and preload them onto a travel card for safe keeping. Moneysavingexpert.com has some great tips for making the most of your money in Europe regardless of when you’re travelling. Whilst the article, found here was written at the beginning of July, all of the points still stand.
