A fun day out at Gardaland

Back in May, our Digital Marketing Executive, Matthew enjoyed a week at Bella Italia in Lake Garda. One of the highlights of his holiday was a day out at the brilliant theme park, Gardaland.

“When my girlfriend and I visited Bella Italia in May, Gardaland was one of the best decisions we took while designing our Italian itinerary. We got a great discount on the tickets by buying them from the campsite – and got into Sea World too.

Though it is a 40 year old park, the age doesn’t show anywhere – it is very well kept, rides are very well kept & up to date (in sync with other amusement parks).

The rides are awesome (our favourite being Oblivion), there are a large variety of shows to go and see (we chose Ice Age 4D – even though it was in Italian!) and the assortment of food is very good.

At the end you end up wanting more & more time to spend in Gardaland, so we only managed to look round Sea Wold for 30 minutes before the park closed (which was also really cool to see).

It was really easy to get to the park from Bella Italia too, as you can walk / cycle to the Peschiera del Garda train station where you get a free shuttle bus into the park.

So anyone visiting Lake Garda this summer – Gardaland is a must!”

Canvas holiday-makers have been enjoying Gardaland this summer, some of them shared their top tips for a great day out:

“We bought VIP season passes at 72 Euro each for my son and I, giving us unlimited access to the park with fast pass access to the main rides for the entire duration of our stay ( valid for 1 year) which was amazing value. We went 4 times over our 2 week holiday for a couple of hours at a time with zero queuing time at any of the rides.” Visited July 2015

“We took the kids to Gardaland which they loved. It is good to go for the evening as it’s a lot cheaper and they do a ticket from 6-11.” Visited September 2014

Canvas Holidays has 10 campsites around Lake Garda, all within close proximity to Gardaland.
